In January 2019, Al Hussain Technical University (HTU) launched the Information and Communication (ICT) upskilling program which aims to provide job-seeking ICT graduates with skills that are likely to improve their chances of finding employment opportunities in advanced technologies such as cyber security, coding, and data science. This program focuses on bridging the gap between university outcomes and industry demands by enhancing technical expertise, professional skills, and English language proficiency for business. To ensure alignment with industry requirements, we conduct an annual market needs assessment in collaboration with hiring partners. This assessment informs our curriculum design, prioritizing:

  • Meeting industry standards and demands.
  • Supporting instructional teams in developing effective training programs.
  • Identifying high-demand technologies.
  • Accelerating recruitment for program graduates.
