German Energy Academy

The School of Engineering Technology at Al-Hussein Technical University hosts the German-Jordanian Energy Academy, which was established with funding from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and in collaboration with the German Jordanian University and the Amman Chamber of Industry, as well as the Electric Training Center (ETC) in the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO), and a number of German institutions, including the German-Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK), the German Solar Society (BSW), and Niuversity University.

The Academy's goal as a regional center for skill development in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and smart grids is to deliver specialized and advanced training programs to a diverse spectrum of professionals and engineers. In addition, the Academy intends to deliver tailored training that is convenient and stackable at various levels and durations.
